NEW YORK, November 2, 2021 / PRNewswire / – JP Morgan Asset Management today announced the launch of JPMorgan Income ETF (JPIE) (“The Fund”), an active fixed income ETF that targets debt securities in the fixed income universe, seeking to provide a return with lower volatility and attractive distributions.
Using changes in sector allocation, JPIE invests in a wide variety of debt securities that have the potential to maximize income while reducing risk at the portfolio level. JPIE draws on the combined expertise of the company’s Global Fixed Income Currency and Commodities (GFICC) platform, providing the best insights from the expertise of various asset classes and broad investment capabilities.
“This current cycle has shown that passive fixed income investing has certain limitations and may not be able to provide the full range of stabilizing, diversifying and improving returns benefits that most investors now expect. In this environment, investors can benefit from intentional exposure to stocks and sectors that active management can bring ”, noted Bryon Lake, Global Head of ETF Solutions at JP Morgan Asset Management. “When our clients need active expertise to meet the challenges of macro and micro markets, JPIE employs a flexible and opportunistic approach that combines strategy and sector rotation, providing a liquid, profitable and efficient way to build and manage a diversified portfolio of fixed income securities. “
The fund is managed by portfolio managers André Norelli, Andrew Headley and Thomas Hauser, who also all manage the JPMorgan Income Fund (JMSIX) and have 75 years of combined industry experience (full bios below).
